Are you unhappy with your smile? Would small changes in the alignment of your teeth make a big difference to you?
Here at Lindley Dental, we offer adult orthodontics, which can help you to improve the appearance of your smile, discreetly and comfortably.

SureSmile clear braces
We utilise the advanced SureSmile Clear Aligners system, which uses clear, custom-made braces that are similar in appearance to a clear gum shield and very discreet. There are no brackets or wires like traditional braces, offering a modern alternative to fixed appliances.
Your smile journey begins with a consultation. At this visit, a digital scan is taken. These digital images, when uploaded to our SureSmile software, allow us to assess how clear braces will best work for you, creating a personalised treatment plan. SureSmile aligners are designed using advanced software to ensure they fit comfortably, promote better oral hygiene, and deliver the exact tooth movements needed.
How do clear braces work?
Wearing the clear braces puts gentle, consistent pressure on the teeth, repositioning them over time. Once your aligners arrive at the practice, you will have an appointment to check that they fit snugly, and then you can start your aligner treatment journey. SureSmile requires much fewer check-in appointments than traditional, fixed braces, although we will need to see you now and again to check that everything is going as planned.
Each set of aligners needs to be worn for at least 22 hours per day, and you will change them every two weeks. Over time, your teeth will gradually move to the desired position, as outlined in your treatment plan.

What are the benefits of clear aligners?
Some patients find traditional metal braces uncomfortable and are bothered by their appearance. Alternatively, SureSmile clear braces are:
- Almost invisible, making them a completely discreet experience; no one needs to know you’re having treatment!
- Removable, making eating, drinking, and cleaning your teeth far more convenient and stress-free.
Convenient for busy lifestyles. You can even take them out for meetings or socialising, as long as you remember to put them right back in afterwards.
SureSmile aligners vs. Invisalign aligners: What’s the difference?
Both SureSmile aligners and the Invisalign treatment are leading brands of clear aligners that use similar technology to straighten teeth discreetly.

Dr Davinderjit Singh Dentist with special interest in adult orthodontics
Is SureSmile right for me?
SureSmile is ideal for patients with mild to moderate misalignment, including crowded teeth, gaps, and some bite issues. A thorough consultation with our dentist with a special interest in adult orthodontics, Dr. Davinderjit Singh, is the best way to confirm your suitability.
The time it takes to straighten your smile depends on the severity of your misalignment; in some cases, patients see results in as little as six months, although more severe cases can take longer. On average, from start to finish, treatment should take between 6 and 9 months.
Once the teeth are straight, we will give you a retainer, either a fixed or removable one.
- Fixed retainer: A metal wire glued onto the back of the front six teeth.
- Removable retainer: A clear plastic retainer that covers all your teeth.
Using retainers is absolutely vital to maintain the result and prevent your teeth from moving back. Retainers are used following any orthodontic treatment to stop them from moving back to their old position over time. Following teeth straightening, some patients opt to whiten their teeth using our professional teeth whitening treatment.

We frequently welcome patients travelling from Halifax and Huddersfield who are looking for discreet, high-quality, clear aligner treatment.
