“Same day” crowns
At Lindley dental we have invested in two digital scanners. Our CEREC Primescan uses a wand-like device, loaded with powerful imaging sensors which can capture more than 50,000 images of your mouth per second. These allow us to get a detailed picture of your teeth on screen in facilitating 3D. We can use this to show you want is happening in your mouth clearly and easily.
This digital picture eliminates the need for impressions, which can be uncomfortable. So, no more mouth full of “gunge” to get a crown made. Most patients prefer a scan to a conventional impression. This digital picture can then be sent to our dental laboratories to make you a crown for example.
Your scan can also used to produce crowns and inlays in house using our miller and furnace. So, your treatment can be completed efficiently in one day. This takes away the need for temporaries and for you to have to come back for the fitting.
These scanners are very accurate and fast.
