Since I joined Lindley Dental Centre early in 2015, we have come a long way in providing the best implant care possible to our patients. Dental implants are becoming more and more popular as more patients see the benefits they can offer. We are entering a very exciting time where people who previously couldn’t have implants are now able to have them as the technology advances. Implants are getting smaller and healing times are getting shorter. Many of my patients tell me they have had no discomfort at any point in their implant treatment.
We now have a group of patients who have had very successful implant treatment: replacing everything from individual teeth to a full arch. Whether it’s to fill a gap at the back or replacing broken crowns on front teeth, we have some very happy patients. We have completed some implant retained dentures which have given patients who were otherwise struggling to eat with loose dentures the ability to start enjoying their food again. Implants also give them the confidence that their dentures are securely in place and not about to drop down.
If you’ve thought about having implants, even if you have been told previously that you can’t have them, please speak to us. I’m always happy to have a free chat with anyone who thinks that implants might the right solution for them. Of course, implants are not for everyone, but I find replacing dentures for those patients who really hate wearing them, one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
