What’s the news…
Welcome to our October newsletter.
So as the nights draw in, we say goodbye to summer, and everyone is back at school and work. This is traditionally the time when there are more courses for our team to attend and our thoughts turn to this year’s learning. Fran, one of our hygienists and I went on an GBT masterclass. Dentists Thomas and Davinder are attending an advanced restorative dentistry course. One of our nurses is about to start an Oral Health Educator course and our trainee nurse Abi is motoring through her training. Dentistry is constantly evolving, and we are always learning.
Enjoy October! Best wishes Sharon and the team
We have been busy
We have been getting our learning hats on and diving into new courses.
Sharon and Fran travelled to Manchester for their GBT day.
Dav and Thomas are both studying a postgraduate diploma in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Have you tried out our new airflow?
Did you know you mouth is the second largest and diverse microbiome after you gut? The GBT machine, which stands for Guided Biofilm Therapy, flushes away biofilm around your gums which contains harmful bacteria. The powder the machine uses is anti-bacterial and makes it harder following treatment for the bugs to stick to your teeth again. Oral bacteria release inflammatory markers which will affect other areas of the body. So we need healthy gums to have a healthy body!
Implants by Will Yu
This patient has had implants to replace the canine and molar teeth. Canines and molars are important for the effective chewing and grinding of teeth.
Implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and many options are available. We currently offer a free chat with our implant nurse jess.
We have received some lovely reviews recently
“I started coming to Lindley Dental Practice nearly a year now after having an abscess. At the time I suffered severe anxiety, but Phil and Helen put me slightly at ease. I saw Dav and Vicky who are so welcoming and thoughtful, explained everything to me. So after a load of explaining of treatment I had to have done an inlay/onlay I was a bag of nerves to say the least but once again the staff go above and beyond. Because of the excellent service I have managed to overcome my fear and just recently had a filling and a tooth extraction without any issues, 10 out of 10 for the service all the staff provide, I can’t thank Dav enough (and my wing man Vicky) also a big thank you to Amber for being there with the extraction.”
