Hello and welcome to our May newsletter.
We hope when you are reading this the sun is finally shining and it has stopped raining!
May is the month of the bank holiday. Just to let you know we are open Saturday the 4th of May but not Saturday the 25th of May. As always there is an emergency service both of the bank holiday weekends should you need urgent care.
We are all doing a training day on May the 16th with Denplan. The practice will be closed that day and local colleagues providing cover.
Sedation at Lindley Dental
1 in 4 adults has some degree of dental anxiety so it’s a common issue. To help us in that we offer IV sedation with Sharon Jardine. This gives profound relaxation for the patient. This can be a great help for patients who find having treatment very difficult. It is also a useful aid for patients having lengthy treatments such as implants or more difficult procedures such as wisdom tooth removal. It can be used too to help patient with a strong gag reflex.
Recently it has been our pleasure to help some of our more anxious patients with some IV sedations. Jess, one of our nurses is now undertaking a sedation nurse qualification. This will support this service going forward.
